Our 14th 16-April

14 years ago, I met this awesome guy who's still pampering me till now. Hence, 16-Apr marks an important date to me. Though he doesn't like celebration, but he still gives in and stick on to the yearly special dates celebration after we got married. 💜

Hmm ~ Several years ago, we ate at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and saw a lovely old couple, we promised to do so like them when we grew old too. Nostalgia abit, so I chose to have a simple dinner with my Hub at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe @ Kovan. 😊 Just a simple dinner with your companion is blissful enough. It's all about you that matters to me. 💕

Boon Tong Kee (Bukit Timah)

Today is a shocking Friday. One told me they purchased prewedding photo shoot package, one told me he proposing soon then another one suddenly make a trip to shop and find me. 😂

No need to guess who came down, is my darling, miss, oh no, is mdm Jeanne.🙊 Of cos I'm happy to see her, after almost 2 mth. 💕 No choice but to gossip in the shop till 6.30pm before her Hub fetch her home. Gonna plan a Malacca trip soon. Yeah! Can't wait. Now waiting for Hub to born us a date.. Hahaha.

Origami Day

Boredom striked and we decided to do some origami art. Taught my 2 darlings to do Penguin, corner bookmark and heart origami.. Although they did not do it perfectly but they definitely did a great job. 👍

We did quite a number of them and I get sweet message from my darling girl. Thanks, darling. 😘 And from darling boy, I get this very epic work..

Omg, this is seriously epic.. I didn't know that Penguin work out too! Hahahaha. They not only cute, they also tend to do some sweet gesture too.. Occasionally, they will buy some small snacks (eg. Sausage, crab meat etc) from their school canteen, specially for me. Psst~ Hub didn't managed to get any. 🙊 Super duper cute and sweet of my 2 darlings. 💕

Paktor Satdate

After closed shop at 7+pm, I went to market and mail out the parcels. Shopping while waiting for my Hub and decided to have dinner at Nex. 

Occasionally, we will pamper ourselves with good foodies and today is D-day. So long as any foodies that cost more than $10 per pax, we considered them as good foodies. 😂 It might not be the best for others but is definitely best pamper for us. And tonight, we chose Ajisen! (Why machiam Pokemon like this. Lols) 

 

The Japanese Society of Nutrition & Food Science announced in a general meeting, “The intake of collagen contained in the bones and cartilage, etc prevents aging.” Collagen is a protein, mainly found in the skin, tendon, bone, cartilage and other connective tissues. This protein is the essence of life because it easily makes up one third of the 60 trillion body cells. 

And Ajisen's Tonkotsu soup has lots of collagen which prevents anti-aging and I love it! 💜 I seriously need tons of collagen at my age. *Feel old 👵* 🙊 Oh~ And Ajisen had new "friends" on menu.

Look interesting but I scare is those normal tomato soup base only.. So for today, I shall play safe with the original Tonkotsu soup base which got many many collagen one first. Next time my food kaki around then try together with her. 😁

Done with our anti-aging yummylicious dinner, we went to paktor at NTUC like what we did at our young age. Can you believe, at the age of 18, the two of us are like old couple shopping at Carrefour happily.. Hahaha.. And till now, we still do so.. Life is made up of small moments like this. 💕 Thank you Hub 😘

Fat Monkeys At Upper Serangoon Road / Kovan

Came across an article from Eatbook on Facebook last night, introducing "8 Western Food Stalls At Kopitiams Or Hawker Centres With Huge Portions Under $7". Omg, can you believe it? Under $7, in huge portions lehs. What's the first thing to do? Of course is send the link to my lovely Hub. Due to Hub end work at 8pm, we chose FAT MONKEYS as our first try-out!!

After a night of drooling, here we are, together with Yk n Calliz~ How can I missed out my foodaholic buddy,  miss Calliz? Got food to eat or try, we, foodaholic will definitely be there on time. Hahahaha. 4 of us reached there at about 8.40pm and hoped to try their Fried Mac & Cheese, Da Bomb and Chicken Chop. Sadly, we were told that all chicken and beef items were not available, we were pretty disappointed about it. But fortunately, Pork Chop was still available and there's 6 types of sauces to choose:

Pork Chop w Black Pepper Sauce

After 15 min or so, we received our Pork Chop w Black Pepper Sauce ($6.80 nett) which came with whole heap of fries and salad greens tossed in Sesame dressing. We dug into it and all of us were fascinated by the unexpected succulent pork chop. Honestly, I don't really like pork chop but I love this! Ultimate yummylicious!

Pork Chop w Chili Crab Sauce

Without hesitation, we placed another order, Pork Chop w Chili Crab Sauce ($6.80 nett). The sweet and tangy chili crab sauce that contained real crab meat! Real crab meat and it costed less than $7! It would be even tastier if they can thicken the chili crab sauce. Nevertheless, it is still tasty and worth every dollar spent at Fat Monkeys!

I believe that Fat Monkeys is doing as well as the quote says. A humble hawker food stall located along Upper Serangoon Road and just a few minutes walk from Kovan MRT Station that offers cafe standard Western cuisine at affordable prices. Undoubtedly, you will be astonished by this hidden gem which is situated at the back of the same kopitiam as the well-known Ponggol Nasi Lemak Centre. We will definitely be back to try out other dishes that we missed out today.

十三幺!!!

~ My 2nd 十三幺 ~

Proudly present my lifetime de 2nd 十三幺!!! Totally cant believe that I did it once againn! OMG ~ My heart hasten when I'm waiting for the last tile. Yk damn sians over it.. Becos we play MJ until  new style came out. We will pick 2 tiles from each player and this round, I picked 2 白板 from Yk. He proudly put 2 tiles out of his 13 tiles and thought I wont pick. Unexpectedly, I picked and he sians max. ROFL. Getting this 十三幺, I still need to thank Yk for his help. Arigatou gozaimasu~  Wahahahaha!!!

Before this round, I tried doing once but failed.. Thanks to hub! He 杠一筒 and there goes my 十三幺.. I damn sians. But fortunately, I managed to do it!!! I'm so happy ~~~ Lols ~~~

Bye Rapunzel SJ

Most of the girls love pretty long hair. There goes the same for SJ. But if you can't take good care of your hair, it will become a disaster and hers had became one -- Dandruff. Tried asking her to use Head & Shoulder Shampoo, but it's useless and she slept with wet hair despite my warning. Worse still, she doesn't mind glue, candy or whatsoever stick to her hair. Omg, it's really disgusting. *facepalm*

But~ Sometimes life is literally fated. Just when I'm still considering whether to cut her hair, YL mentioned that she wants to cut her hair to shoulder length, so ~ Great, no need to consider further, let the two of them have haircut together. SJ doesn't dare to argue or reject this haircut, because she knew that she was given a chance to grow long hair but she did not take good care of it. So ya, I captured down the last few moments with her long hair and she went off to saloon with YL unwillingly.

Back from haircut, she broke into tears the moment she saw me. Cried for 15 minutes then got chased home for a hair wash. Throughout the day, she slowly realized.. Having such hairstyle, she washed her hair without much hassle, no more tangled hair like before and will no longer have messy hair curtain on her face now. She won't be called Sadako anymore (oh ya, by me. 😂)

End of the day, she told us that she "kind of" like her hair now, so much smoother and look neater now. My interpretation is that she likes her new hairstyle now but need to persist a bit because she cried too loud just now. 😂 But overall, still glad that she likes it. 😄

Positive vs Negative

I had a bad dream just now, the realistic feel made me scared and my heart beat hastened. I don't remember the exact dream but it seems to have some hidden meaning and trying to enlighten me --

"Positive vs Negative, whichever you choose will reflect on your life. Don't expect to live a positive life with a negative mind. Adopt the right attitude can convert negative stress into a positive one. Do not allow the energy of negative people to affect you and turn you into one of them. Don't let negativity grow and ruin your life when you have so much to be positive about."

I really need to learn to accentuate the good things that happen in my life and preclude those negative thoughts or feeling. CNY mood Valentine's Day

14 Feb, Valentine's Day and it's also Friendship's Day! Other than wishing your Valentine, remember your friends too!  😄

14 Feb, a date which gradually not our ocassion anymore. Old couple and we had naturally became the save money category. So I suppose next year vday will be at Kopitiam? 😂 Think so, because my hub not really interested in celebrating such event/occassion. If he had a choice not to celebrate, he will agree and rather stone at home. HAHAHA!! 

Fortunately, I still managed to get a dinner at Ajisen and had my crave satisfied for this year vday. Though not very satisfied with kena rejected and reapprove of my suggestion, but it's ok, I'm trying to master Forgive and Forget, especially when it is not a major issue. At most if you see carefully, you will see me mumbling to myself or roll eyes only. Small matter ~ 😂

After I'm done with online meetup collection, went to do last minute cny shopping at NTUC, omg, it's extremely "human[人] mountain[山] human[人] sea[海]" (crowded). After kena sardines and strave for half a day, we finally settled down and had our yummylicious dinner at Ajisen Gourmet. 

They released limited time Ramen set, Spicy Ebi and Garlic Ebi, both available in soup base or sauce base. I tried the 🍤Spicy Ebi Ramen (soup) and I like the fleshy prawn. I can taste the freshness and fleshy prawn meat with that fragant yet not so spicy sauce. But honestly, I will only try once. 🙊 Because for 3 prawns with the normal usual Ajisen soup base, I think paying $18.90 (before GST and SC) is kind of overpriced. I'll still prefer my favourite Pork Curry Ramen. 💜

Happy Birthday, My Love!

Today is a memorable day. Other than is my hub's birthday, my baobei JL dropped his front tooth. The funniest thing is that he dropped it when he's eating his lunch, fortunately he did not swallow down together with the food. 😂

Ok, back to topic. This year CNY falls on 16/02/2018 and it's a bad timing, I think. Because need to prepare for CNY, Hub need to do spring cleaning on his birthday while I tend the shop helplessly. *hugs* Best thing, whole family waiting for him to do spring cleaning only and the rest just shake leg. Still got some people shamelessly occupied a room, own room clean but mess up the living room/pathway with her unwanted stuff . *facepalm* It's ok, Hub did a massive cleaning, good bye "things" (or shall we call it, rubbish instead) ~

Anyway! For Hub's bday, I intended to bring him for a karaoke session since it had been long time since we had sing together. 🎤 But.. We opened shop early in the morning and he did spring cleaning for his house, he must be tired after a long day, so sadly I cancelled the plan. After close shop, it's already 8.30pm, no choice but to go for a quick and simple meal at Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Garden for Hub's birthday. 

Happy Birthday, My Love

Ordered our usual favourite Hokkien Mee, Chicken wing (Must have!), satay and of course, big big cup of Sugar Cane juice. Yum yum! Seems small portion for 2 pax, right? But it's enough to make us felt soooo bloated. Our appetite had became smaller, it's a good sign, can cut down some weight (hopefully. hahaha). Went to get some snacks for the kids and got home saw this:

Darling SJ made me choose one and I chose..... SJ's! Why? Because JL drew pregnant me with a baby inside which I am not, for sure~ Of course choose SJ's one. Luckily JL won't mind this kind of things, he mostly mind about we don't give him food and we don't love him (obviously we do love him!). So.. It's ok. HAHAHA! 🙈

💭Hub, though this year we did not have any special celebration but want to let you know that I really care about celebrating your birthday🎂.. Because of your birthday, there is a you👨 in this world and I'm very grateful about it. Not celebrating vday is fine with me, what I mind is not able to celebrate your bday and I felt kind of sad about it. But still, thank you for coming to this world and love me, you're the best thing that ever happened to me. 😘 I love you and it's beyond words. 💜 Happy birthday, honey. 🎉 Wish you great health and happiness for eternity. 🙆

Air Fried Pineapple Balls

Yesterday went back LN and did the 1st batch of CNY snacks, end up no time to do cleaning. So today is a busy day for all of us. Spring cleaning and DIY of CNY must have, Pineapple🍍tarts/balls. 

1st time doing this Pineapple tarts, scared but excited. 😂 Fortunately, it's edible, super yummy somemore. Appearance not that nice, but it melted in the mouth. Darling boy can't stop, he kept on sneak around the CNY snacks and eat whenever he can. Hahaha. 

Tiring but very satisfied Sunday! Clean bling bling house with all successful CNY goodies. ✌ Happy me. Next week, another busy week. Ganbatte! 💪

Air Fried CNY Goodies

Finally got time to use Air Fryer and do some CNY goodies for the first time. Not professional but got this interest. No matter is cooking, baking or do things, I love trying out and get the satisfication whenever I succeed unexpectedly. Lols. 

This evening when I just started doing the CNY goodies, kena some hiccups but managed to solve it before I get disheartened. 😂 So here I am, first attempt and I made it! ✌ Though not as yummy as those on shelf one, but at least Hub and kids think it's yummy. I don't expect much, so long as they're not burnt or inedible. Then also need to pray the crisp can last longer.. 🙏

Simple Happiness

Simple happiness achieved by nomnom my favourite Hainanese chicken rice, Boon Tong Kee for dinner. My favourite BTK outlet is still this one located at Bukit Timah. 😄

With the opening of Downtown Line, it had became so convenient to reach there, just 5 min (or lesser) walk👣 from DT5 Beauty World station Exit B and here you are, Boon Tong Kee~ 💜

For the past few days, I think I was really negatively zombiefied with no smile on my face. When Hub surprisingly brought me to BTK, I sensed happiness. I love yummy food and can be easily satisfied with good food. Yes, 吃货, that's me. 😻

2 Pax Chicken

Fragrant, juicy and tender! Definitely must eat! 

Dip with their chilli sauce (they provide ginger sauce too!), coupled with their hot piping aromatic chicken rice.. Oh my god~ Yummylicious! 😋

Golden Fried Tofu

Oh my~ Another lovely one, cripsy on the outer and silky smoooooth on the inside, came with mayonnaise. But recently I start to get old, I add chilli instead of mayo, still as yummy! 💕

Sambal Kang Kong

Some zi-char tend to cook Kang Kong till too "old" and no longer cripsy. But at BTK, u won't get such worries. Most importantly, not so oily! 😄

Whenever we went BTK for dinner, we will certainly order the above mentioned dishes, but for 2 pax seems too much. Wanna omit a dish from our order, but we felt that none of them can be dispensable. So it's ok, just be it. Hahaha. 

In the past, I can wolf down 2 plates of BTK chicken rice. Now old already, I felt full after 3/4 of a portion. Don't care! I can't stop, I still finished up a plate of the rice, all by myself! 😂 Hub and I felt soooooo bloated after the dinner but our taste buds sure got fully satisfied~ BTK@Bukit Timah never fail to do so.. Definitely one of the best chicken rice in Singapore! 👍

💭Hub, thank you for realizing my negativity and tried to brighten me up with this delectable dinner. 🌻 I will source for solution and change for a better me to let our relationship perpetuates endlessly (instead of my ⛔negativity which might ruin all my happiness.). 💖Love you and thank you. 😘

Negativity striked

有追看《终极一班5》的人都知道，被魔化的裘球最近一直在说：

“世界的黑暗和痛苦是能被接受的。

事情只会越来越糟，不抱希望就不会失望。 

负负得正！ 复能量真棒！”

真的不是这么好的洗脑台词，但我却同意“事情只会越来越糟，不抱希望就不会失望”。至于其他的就太~负了，不能同意。😂 完全同意的话，我不就也被魔化了嘛，不要啦。🙈

10年前，我抱着幸福美满甜甜蜜蜜的希望美梦，时间逐渐的抹杀掉我的幻想。我哭泣，没人懂，没人知道。现在我的眼泪也已经变得一文不值，换来的不是拥抱安慰，而是责骂。

“可以不要哭吗？人家以为我在欺负你。”

我当时真的傻眼，傻爆了。我实在不知道该找谁哭泣~ 不想在朋友面前毁你的形象，我只能咽下自己的泪水或自己躲在被窝里，咬着唇叫自己别哭。我知道你对我很好也很迁就我，但有些事你就是.... 😔 很多时候，拥抱就能安抚很多的事，但你就是不懂。

所以！8年前吧，我就一直跟自己说：

“哎呀，别想，他不会做你想他做的事。希望了，你只会伤心，哭泣，失望。不要想！睡觉！”

“反正我的意见也不是意见。也是问爽而已。同意就好了，免得又弄得他不开心或把场面弄僵。”

“还是不要告诉他，说了，他也不了解，只会扭曲我的本意。算了。”

时间一分一秒飞逝，我的负面思想也不自觉越来越多。无论是要解决家庭，朋友还是什么问题都好，我都会先把最坏的事列出。当你觉得事情会越来越糟，但却美满的解决/结束，你还会感到一丝丝的愉悦。如果~ 你抱着完美落幕，换来的可能就是站在悬崖边的感受。就像我爸的事，我一直告诉自己，他会好起来的。结果呢？我从茶水间来回不到5分钟的时间，我爸就突然停止呼吸了.....

所以，真的.. 我没办法抱着希望去看待人事物。噢！不行啦，我的负面情绪越来越强烈！我的天呀！*facepalm*

Ok! Let's think this way, Pacific Ocean can't sink a ship unless the water gets inside it. There goes the same for negativity. It will only perpetuates itself, cluttered your mind with dissatisfaction and happiness won't be able to come by. 

Whenever negativity striked, we tend to dwell over the past which hurt us. Holding onto all these hurtful past, it's like drinking poison, either you die or the relationship you cherished die. It's not worth it! Let's move on and don't let negativity rob your present happiness. Let go, move on and be happy! Go go go!
